About the Author
I am a board-certified orthopedic physical therapist and strength and conditioning specialist. Exercise is my first love, but orthopedic rehabilitation is a very close second. I hope this blog can contribute to the evolving body of knowledge of orthopedic physical therapy.
I am currently completing my second year of study in the post-professional Doctor of Science program (ScD) at Texas Tech University. The process has been life-changing for me to this point and I will provide updates as I weave my way through the program.
On the personal side of things, I have been married to a beautiful woman for eleven years. We live in peace and harmony with five dogs, two cats, and variable numbers of fish. My father is a family physician and my mother a nurse practitioner who both share a passion for bettering themselves and their professions.
My hope is that this blog will inspire those of us in the fields of movement science to use sound clinical and scientific reasoning for the betterment of our clients.
Rod,
My name is Lee Fiocchi, I recently moved to Houston just over a year and a half ago. I am a sports performance specialist and I believe in the multi-disciplinarian approach to assist in my athletes development. In the time i have been here I have had difficulty aligning myself with people that I feel comfortable referring my athletes to. I have looked over some of the stuff you have put together and would like to get to know you a little more. When ever it is convenient for you. My contact is ***-***-****.
Thanks so much for your time and your great resources here on your blog!
Hey Lee. Great to hear about you and the work you are doing in Houston. I’ll give you a buzz. Thanks for checking out the blog and podcast. I’m planning on having more posts on exercise and conditioning this year. Take care and have a great 2010.
